AnyConnect will replace older remote access solutions with improved connectivity and security.

AnyConnect is a Virtual Private Network (VPN) used to connect securely to WCM sites. Many of our systems and services are designed to block access to anyone who is not on the WCM network. AnyConnect allows you to log into our institutional network with your CWID and password, so you can access what you need to work off campus. I already have a VPN client installed on my device. Do I need to download AnyConnect?
- A dialog box will appear with the heading Cisco AnyConnect cuvpn.cuvpn.cornell.edu. Use the following options to connect (select OK when all fields have been entered): Group = Select Two-StepLogin from the drop down menu.
- Launch the installed client, which is called Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. In the AnyConnect window, you'll see a prompt to connect to a VPN server. Make sure the box contains cuvpn.cuvpn.cornell.edu and then click 'Connect'.
Yes. AnyConnect is more secure because it uses Duo dual-factor authentication to confirm your identity. Older versions of VPN will be retired later this year; more information on that is coming soon.
If you already have AnyConnect on your device, check to see if you have Version 4. If not, you should upgrade to the new version.
How much does AnyConnect cost?
AnyConnect is available at no cost to WCM faculty, staff, and students.
How do I install AnyConnect?
Simply follow our instructions below based on the type of device you have. Remember, you can only use AnyConnect when off campus:
